Overloaded.

I have to get a post in before I leave SUPER early Friday morning for Toronto.  Also, BIG NEWS!  I entered the Chictopia/Solestruck, "Show Us Your Sole" Contest Monday and NEVER posted about it (knowing I would get to it eventually).  Ta-Dah!  Here it is!  My entry to win a pair of shoes!  So go to Chictopia's website and vote for me!  While you're on Chictopia's website though, check out some of the other contestants.  There is some good stuff there!

Below is what I wore Tuesday, and what I am currently wearing (ALL DENIM!).  Enjoy!

Honestly, how sweet is this ring?  Skull "brass" knuckles.  I almost peed myself at the flea market when I found this jem hidden amongst the scary doll clothes and incense.

And seriously, these denim, zipper flats?  They were in my goodwill/garage sale box.  WTF, Abby?!?!  I think I had stretched them out too much when I first bought them 2 years ago, but they fit again.  I win!  As always, I feel like there is so much more that I'd like to say, but my brain isn't working anymore.  Have a good evening all, and if I don't post before I get back from Toronto, you won't be surprised!

Salty.

It may seem like it's been forever since I posted last, and that would be because it HAS been forever since I posted last.  HOWEVER, it is NOT my fault.  I wrote a post last week that included the below first 6 photos saying how lame I was for waiting over a week to post, and then taking horrid photos.  So maybe it's not such a bad thing that that post got lost?  Eh who knows.  Anyway, I decided that if I could live in button-downs and high-waisted skinny jeans for the rest of my life, I'd be FINE.

I also decided that mid-thigh jorts are something I'm into now.  I made this pair.  Last summer ALL of my cut-offs were high-waisted and SUPER short.  Then again, last summer, I wasn't as chubby as I am this "summer".  I'm working on losing some of it (healthily).  I'm sorry I even brought up the weight thing.  Suspenders.

Suspenders are way more fun to talk about than eating habits and disorders (which I don't have any...of either).

And then there are sequins and top hats, which are INFINITELY more interesting to style and talk about than eating habits and disorders.

I think this shirt is HILARIOUS because it says "My blog is more fashionable than yours!", which is a HILARIOUS claim for ME to be making since my blog is as simple and bare bones as they come.  Anyway, that is what I wore to watch jello wrestling in WADSWORTH.  2 things I would rather NEVER speak of again:  Jello Wrestling and WADSWORTH, but it was in support of a bunch of friends, so we HAD to go.  And actually, the Wadsworth 69 Taps is REALLY nice.  And the jello wrestling was more strategic than just getting girls to wrestle in jello.  Plus, a woman organized the event, so that makes it OK right?

And finally, these floral pants.  I felt like I was wearing pajamas all of yesterday.  It was fab.  And these heels.  I did NOT wear them to work.  My job requires me to run up and down stairs, back and forth between departments, and all around, so I opted for my pink oxfords.  I would have worn these if I was maybe in account service or a designer (one day).  I love how Eleanor looks like one of those ghost apparition things you see in scary movies in most of these photos.  Like, am I REALLY seeing a dog creeping on all of this girl's photos.  Yes, yes, you are.  She just likes barking at people that walk by, which is fine by me.  That way people will leave our house alone.

And silly me.  Today I wore a "Parisian" looking outfit (ummm what?) and NEVER took photos.  Duh!  Maybe I'll just wear the EXACT same thing to work tomorrow.  Hahaha NOT!  I'm not sure I've EVER worn the EXACT same outfit twice, except if it was a uniform.  Fun fact.  I have too many clothes too do that.

Also, I have a twitter now:  @seanbrocks.  Do what you want with that tidbit of info.  That's also my name on Instagram.

Now to get my hands on a crimper for Friday night's MK&A Super Slumber Party!  Cheers!

Promenade.

This past weekend was wild.  My little, baby brother went to Prom!  My mom and I went with him to the "Promenade" (which is basically a REALLY awkward way to announce who's going with whom) to take a million pictures.  I would have felt bad about taking so many, except I wasn't even asking him to pose or smile.  Anyway, for your viewing pleasure:  Revere Promenade 2012, starring AARON RODE!

What a handsome fella!  The "alma mater" didn't look half bad either, then again I can't call it that because I went to prom (and graduated) in Florida (but that's another story).  Proof:

Dang I was skinny.

Mother's Day was awesome too (love ya Mama Rode - can't wait for Toronto weekend 2012)!  I will post an outfit post laterz (and give more excuses as to why it's been forever since the last one - it WASN'T my fault this time!).  Cheers Mates.

Fancy Dress.

Last Week was the Akron Symphony Orchestra's 60th Anniversary Celebration.  My mom's friend from college composed a truly original piece, and my aunt created a fantastic film celebrating Akron in all of its glory (Surprise:  film reel of my grandfather).  Before the symphony, a friend of my aunt threw a fabulous dinner party.

We had a wonderful time (too bad this week was crazy at work, and I'm just now posting about it - excuses, excuses).

So yeah, this week at work.  Absolute craziness.  Crazy busy.  My brain is still recovering.  I was only able to snap a few pictures during the week, and it's just as well, because below was my favorite outfit.

I wish I could say this outfit was an original creation on my part, but alas, it was not.  I took inspiration from the same place I always do, the Nasty Gal blog and Instagram.  Of course, I had to "conservative" it up a bit for work.  No big.

Friday, I rushed home from another hectic day at work to get ready for a dinner hosted by Young Italian American Professionals Society blah blah blah (i.e. the boy's roommate's friend's idea).  Anyway, we got all dressed up.

How awkward do we look?  Not to mention the blurry photo.  Well, we were in a hurry.  Here's to hoping this week isn't as crazy as the last.  Peace.
